This 6-week course focuses on improving your ability to communicate with your dog so that you both experience early and frequent training successes. We know that learning to communicate efficiently with your dog is a skill, and skills take time, practice and good coaching to develop. This is why our class exercises are broken down into smaller and more achievable tasks with clearly stated goals.  The foundation skills covered in this class are: sit, down, stand, automatic sit, stay, hand targeting, recall and heeling. While it may seem that these exercises are unrelated to other behavior problems you see in your dog, learning the skill of communicating with your dog will give you the necessary foundation for resolving almost any behavior problem!  Each class builds on the previous week's material so it's important that you attend every class. If you must miss class for any reason, the exercises you missed will be reviewed at the start of the next class.  This class is appropriate for all abilities, ages and breeds.

 

*Not appropriate for intense, reactive or aggressive dogs*  

 

Class requirements: Sign our training agreement and provide proof of immunizations (Rabies, DHLPP, & Bordetella vaccines) prior to the first class.
