Life Skills Class
led by Caitlyn

About our course

Adolescence, or "dog teenage years", are typically the most challenging time for pet parents. Developmentally at this age, our pup's lack the ability to regulate their emotions and in turn the well-behaved puppy we once knew seems to have disappeared!  In Caitlyn's life skills class, you will learn skills to help your pup to develop coping mechanisms and calming behaviors.  This will assist you in getting through this stage of development while setting them up for success in adulthood.

Foundational skills such as sit, down, stand, stay, touch, recall and loose leash walking will be taught as well as learning the importance of counterconditioning, calmness, and body handling.

Each class builds on the previous week's material so it's important that you attend every class.  If you must miss class for any reason, the exercises you missed will be reviewed at the start of the next class

Social requirements: Your pup must be 6 to 24 months old, sign our training agreement, and provide proof of Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccines, at least 5 days prior to the first class.

Cost:   $210.00 for the 6 week session, payable at the time of registration to reserve your spot.

Registration is available online or by phone.
